El otro día en la consulta de la ortodoncia estaba leyendo un artículo relacionado on el tema; la escritora defendía que habiendo nombres tan originales era injusto llamar a un hijo Juan o Ana…parece ser que aparte del ya famosísimo Kevin Costner de Jesús ahora hay muchas niñas llamadas Saharajessicaparker (así todo junto) y que en países como República Dominicana abundan las Leididis o las Madeinusa, Usnavy(marines americanos) o Usmail (correo americano)….
Yo por mi parte diré que conozco a un niño llamado Daylo, (nombre de origen guanche, que también tienen lo suyo)…pero es que se apellida Regalado= Daylo Regalado.
Lolimar, yo nunca había oido el nombre de Daylo y pobrecicas las niñas que se llamen “madeinusa” o “saharajessicaparker” :S

Daylo , si ,es un nombre curioso como ya dije de origen guanche pero hay otros como Guacimara, Chaxiraxi, Ruymán, Ayathimas, Yaiza, Kathaisa, Ithaisa, zebenzuí, Agoney, Acaymo, Romen, Adjona, Acorán, Gara, Jonay, Manolo…ay no, que Manolo no es guanche! jajaja…Como verás algunos son bonitos , pero otros se merecerían una denuncia …

Bueno , por no decir de los venezolanos, esos de telenovelas, compuestos como Ligia-Elena o Luis Alfredo; también em Venezuela los que por no pelearse en pareja le ponen el nombre de los dos como MigMary, que viene de Miguel+ Mary, o Sanyen de Santiago + Yenni… que por cierto son primos míos y ¿originales?!
lolimar, lo tuyo si que es de denunciar, o eres tú la venezolana a la que se le puede poner en ese país cualquier nombre, o tu familia estaba muy mal al ponerte Dolores del Mar. y para que te enteres los nombres guanches son bonitos y llevan con ellos todo un legado de historia, tambien los hay feos como en todos lados o no me diras que es mas denunciable llamarse Angustias, Rigoberto, Arcadio, Segismundo, Saturnino,Hipólito etc.etc.y podria seguir hasta el infinito.
Estoy hablando de cómo se forman nombres curiosos, que a mi los nombre guanches me suelen gustar casi todos ,además por lo que dices del legado histórico, el tuyo en concreto me encanta porque una de mis mejores amigas se llama como tú…el nombre lo hace la persona y sobre gustos no hay nada escrito. En cuanto a mi nombre , soy venezolana ,si, y no me llamo Dolores del Mar , es compuesto por el de mis dos abuelas y bien orgullosa que estoy.. siento mucho que hayas entendido que me burlaba o algo así, nada más lejos de mi intención!

Pues bien la historia es más o menos así:
En tiempos de la conquista de Canarias había en La gomera un señor feudal llamado Hernán Peraza, conocido por su crueldad,tenía a los aborigenes gomeros como esclavos y sus castigos eran tremendamente sanguinarios…
Iballa era una preciosa princesa gomera de la que el señor feudal se encaprichó, entonces un anciano Chamán llamado Hupalupo, propuso a Iballa que aceptara las propuestas de Hernán pero sólo para tenderle una trampa y así liberar al pueblo gomero. Iballa aceptó, y cuando éste llegó al lugar indicado para encontrarse con la princesa lo capturaron y le dió muerte Hautacuperche el verdadero novio de Iballa, degollándolo, tras un juicio en el que participaron los menceyes o reyes de los diferntes reinos en que estaba dividida la Gomera.
Tras este acto, y bajo el mando de Hautacuperche se dirigieron a San Sebastian capital de la isla y allí asediaron durante días o meses (no recuerdo) a los colonizadores entre los que se encontraba Beatriz de Bobadilla, esposa de Hernán Peraza, ésta se las ingenió para mandar un barco a Gran Canaria en busca de ayuda. Cuando llegó el apoyo los gomeros fueron ajusticiados y a los que lograron escapar, más tarde los capturaron bajo falsas promesas de amnistía y fueron finalmente sometidos.
Estos hechos reales, sucedieron en 1488…hoy en día existe el sitio donde se dió muerte al señor feudal se llama La Degollada de Peraza. Y el gesto de valentía de Iballa radíca en que no le importó poner en peligro su honra y su vida por liberar a su pueblo de la esclavitud.
Bueno es un resumen de lo que sucedió en esa época, porque en la trampa tendida a Hernán , también participó Beatriz su esposa , ya que no lo quería y se sentía tan esclava como los gomeros..aunque después los traicionó…
